Thanks so much to everyone out there who made this year’s season opener of the In the Money Horseplayers Tour such a rousing success! We are very much hoping to keep this level of interest up throughout the season and I think we can — after all, how many other ways are there to win a $10,000 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge seat for just $20? Not to mention you are supporting a great cause — thoroughbred aftercare — simultaneously.
The Friday games are regular feeders to the Saturday BCBC qualifiers on horseplayers.com, with the added benefit that the top four finishers* each week advance to our playoffs at the end of the season. Our playoff winner will win a $10,000 BCBC seat at no additional cost.
Before we look forward to Friday’s game, let’s look back to opening week — this is where the * above comes in.
Congratulations to our first four players to win entries into the playoffs.
They are:
Dylan Donnelly
Rick Broth
Gregory Lewis
Daniel Edwards
Rick had a particularly excellent week, landing two in the top 4, but Dan Edward’s gets the second playoff entry because — as clearly expressed in our rules, you can only win one spot to the playoffs per contest. You CAN win three entries overall, as long as they are in different weeks.
Feels great to have such an accomplished group do well in our first week. Who will advance on Friday? Maybe you . . .

We are mirroring the main horseplayers.com lineup on Friday — a mix of Gulfstream, Santa Anita, and Baqueduct. We encourage our players to look through the full roster of games and maybe do some multi-tabling, either on the HorsePlayers site or over at the sister site horsetourneys.com, where there are a lot of interesting feeders and qualifiers as well.
Nick Tammaro has you covered with analysis of all the races in the Friday sequence, which you can find here. And don’t forget to check out Dean Keppler’s wildly popular Santa Anita picks here as well.
If you have any questions, you can always reach out directly to me. Maybe the easiest way is just through the contact button over at inthemoneypodcast.com.
Speaking of contests, we have a couple of additional exciting opportunities to share. For just $1, you can play in a horsetourneys.com contest on Saturday where the top 4 finishers will win their $1,000 seats to Monmouth’s Haskell Betting Challenge. JK and I will be doing a show covering the five stakes races on that card you can find on the In the Money YouTube channel (please subscribe!) or on audio wherever you get your pods (search for In the Money Players’ Podcast). It’s also posted below for those bold enough to scroll deeper.
And in addition to the normal array of contests on Twinspires.com, players should be aware that next week there will be live-bank contests daily for Royal Ascot. If you don’t want to cap those races yourself, the great Steven Bonnick will be providing FREE analysis of EVERY race daily over at inthemoneypodcast.com and our man Rob Dove - one of the top 10 pro punters in the U.K. today - will have even more for you on the ITM Plus side. Sign up and get his thoughts as well as all the other plus-y benefits like extra shows, more written content, and digests of all the picks from the free shows.
I am pumped that there’s a new, fun way to bet Ascot and can’t wait to get involved. Here’s hoping you’ll support this fresh initiative from Darin and the team with your dollars.

2025 Haskell Preview Day at Monmouth Park! | Players' Podcast
In The Money's Peter Fornatale (PTF) and Jonathon Kinchen (JK) break down horse racing stakes action at Monmouth Park on Saturday (June 14), known as Haskell Preview Day with many of the horses competing having the potential to return for the 2025 Haskell Stakes Day card on July 19. The two look at the All-Stakes Pick 5 sequence and, by default, the All-Stakes Pick 4, which covers the last five and four races on the card respectively.
Haskell Preview Day also features a great contest opportunity for horseplayers. For just $1, you can enter a Pick and Pray contest at www.horsetourneys.com and play for a chance to earn a seat in the $1,000 Haskell Day Challenge.
