Day 6 of 16 - Friday, April 12th, 2024
The Lowdown
Rain has tattered the first two cards of the week and it looks like it will be a factor once more today. There was more rain following the races yesterday and it looks like it will restart at some point in the afternoon. This raises a big problem as both of the stakes on today’s card are turf races, including the G1 Maker’s Mark Mile. There is a good chance that those races will remain on turf, but all others moved to the main track. I have adjusted as such and my analysis of the stakes won’t be any different given it’s near impossible to read how the course will play.
If anything changes, check back in post-scratches where I will provide updates in the comments of this post.
Below you’ll find race shape recaps for the last three cards, as well as adding those three cards into our last race location tracker. You’ll certainly want to read my opinions on how the track is playing.
Where’d They Come From?
Today’s “Where’d They Come From?” will briefly touch on all race shape recaps from the last three cards and help us figure out where biases may exist. Given the weather the last two days, it will be helpful to see if the track’s composition has shifted at all.
