Queen Mary Stakes
Quite a few on my shortlist for this Leovanni & Kassaya who won well making the running into headwinds last time, Miss Rascal who has possibly the best form & impressive closing sectionals but the one I liked the most at the prices was Amestris who made her debut in the same hot maiden as Miss Rascal, she copped a bump at the start and ran greenly through the race but still stuck on ok for 2nd probably needing the run . She was a short price in a modest Novice at Lingfield but I loved the way she went through the last 2 furlongs in 22.4 and she really went through the line strong looking to have a great attitude , the time was good considering the uneven pace & I think she’s likely to step forward again.
Selection: (2) Amestris (12/1+)
Kensington Palace Stakes
Wide open but I’m interested in Rowayeh her comeback was underwhelming but I felt like she had a few excuses, they tried the hood after she pulled hard at York which may have affected her but also she seemed to race on wrong part of track with another that finished well beat. Going back to her run at Goodwood 3 runs ago she ran a fast time in a race that's worked out very well. They’re taking the hood back off here & the straight mile could suit plus she’s by Dubawi who has a very good record at the track.
Selection: (13) Rowayeh (10/1+)
Windsor Palace Stakes
Hawaiian was very well bet on debut for a race that's turned out to be one of the strongest Maiden’s of the season, the Coventry winner was back in 3rd, and multiple others won since, he travelled through the race well and won well, he then went to Sandown as a short priced favourite but performed poorly but he had some excuses he was taken on for the lead into a headwind and they went very fast fractions for soft ground, he was allowed to coast home when chance was gone, I think better ground is sure to suit better and if you toss the last run he has the best profile. Others I had on the shortlist at bigger prices were Aviation Time, Vingegaard & Fuji Mountain (especially if Kassaya goes well in the Queen Mary).
Selection: (12) Hawaiian (7/1+)
