What an odd week. I keep thinking of last year at this time, on a trip to Cheltenham. The trip, which was supposed to last for all of March and include several other racecourse visits and a half-marathon at Hampton Court Palace, was, of course, cut short. I woke up Thursday morning to the news that Susan had booked me a plane ticket home – Rudy Gobert freaked her out but Tom Hanks was the last straw.

Other than a surreal trip to the Breeders’ Cup, I haven’t been on a plane since. Here we are a year later and today I got a needle stuck in my arm – halfway to the ability to travel again (I don’t care what the CDC says, Keeneland, here I come).

Racing wise, things are heating up. This was another strong weekend on the network highlighted by . . . honestly I can’t pick just one, it was a stellar lineup as you’ll see (and hear) below. But let me say it was good to see the return of JK + 1 and to hear what Brad Cox had to say.
