There is a lot going on this weekend and we've got shows on the network covering all of it. If you're in Saratoga this weekend, consider joining me for a unique opportunity to watch horses work from one of the backyards on Fifth Ave with a view of the Oklahoma Training Track. I will be making Bloody Marys and there will be bagels. Timing is 7:30 to 9:30 Saturday morning. Secure your spot by making a donation to our friends at the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.
If you miss this one, fear not! We're going to do a Travers' week kickoff party on Wednesday night after the races at The Brentwood, along with a live show. We will have a very limited "studio" audience -- if you're interested in attending, send me a note. This will be a good chance to ask a question on air and share a cocktail. We'll order some pizzas too. Once again, a donation to TRF is all we ask.
I don't have too much to report personally this week other than the usual -- ups and downs betting wise (mostly downs the last two days). Still grinding away with the shows and the handicapping videos and pieces for the attheraces.com website [link to my area: https://www.attheraces.com/blogs/peter-fornatale-blog/archive] -- I'll be posting thoughts on the Saturday Grade 1 races over there soon.
MYWAYP,
PTF

How to Thrive on the Pick 5 - Chris Larmey
Hall of Fame handicapper Chris Larmey posted a well received piece on the ITM blog this week. Anyone who plays horizontally should soak up all the wisdom provided by Marshall Gramm, Maury Wolff, Paul Matties and Tommy Massis. PTF suggested this might be the best thing ever penned on the subject which of course infuriated him since he didn’t write it! Nevertheless, Chris will be on the ITM airwaves next week to discuss further.
Talk Racing to Me - Episode 16
If you’re planning to play the Whitney day card you’ll want to make sure to listen to Naomi’s trifecta of guests. She sat down with Hall of Fame trainer, Shug McGaughey, Calumet trainer Jack Sisterson and NYRA’s Andy Serling.
Over on the ITM blog, Drew will provide his usual insights on some of the action from Woodbine this weekend - A must read if you’re considering the Cross Country Pick 5 on Saturday.
And to close out the week, PTF will be posting Live at the Brentwood on Sunday to discuss the action from Saratoga.
Redboard Rewind - EP 45
Spencer welcomed Sean Alverez to Redboard Rewind and they reviewed some of the races from Del Mar’s San Diego Handicap card. The two discuss the return of Maximum Security as well as other useful handicapping angles.
The Matt Bernier Show - Episode 25
Matt reviews the results from last weekend, welcomes horseplayer Tommy Ealy and has an in depth discussion of Maximum Security.
A reminder that In the Money Media is now the U.S. distributor to Nick Luck’s daily podcast. Make sure to check out Nick’s discussion with Frankie Dettori following his win on Stradivarius in the Goodwood Cup this week.
Captain JK has an amazing line up of guests in the coming weeks! In the meantime, make sure to listen to the past shows.
