Players' Newsletter - July 24th 2020
Welcome to the second edition of our newsletter. I write this ahead of what promises to be a fun day over at Walt and Whitman Brewery -- we are all set up for the first of what will hopefully be a number of viewing parties this summer. I still have not had a proper day of socializing this meet. It's all to benefit our pals at the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation and you can donate to them through our link, Even if you can't come today -- and it's getting late to do so! -- please consider a donation. Our friends at Walt and Whitman have agreed to match all listener donations this week. So it's a great opportunity to make your cash worth that much more.
We will soon be announcing another fun way to hang out with the team, have some fun, and support TRF -- hint: it involves morning workouts. Make sure you follow @inthemoneymedia and like our Facebook page to keep up with all the latest updates.
Should be plenty of fun stuff this weekend with some star power at SAR in the forms of Sistercharlie and Volatile. I'm excited to see what Shirl's Speight does for an encore at Woodbine, and of course the most infamous horse in training, the ironically named Maximum Security, makes his return to the races at DMR in the San Diego. If I'm being completely honest though, the thing I'm most looking forward to this weekend is the double feature I'm going to see at the Malta Drive-In (not a sponsor -- YET) on Saturday night with Susan: Grease/American Graffiti. Not a bad exacta even if I'm admittedly more excited about the latter than the former.
If you are looking for picks on this weekend's races check out both our Racing Picks Podcast and the show I'll drop Sunday morning, Live at the Brentwood. This week's guest will be Matt Vagvolgyi and we'll be going over the Saratoga card.
Speaking of Racing Picks, if you like good free selections, sign up for their Expert Picks service by clicking their banner below. Our own Matt Bernier is a frequent contributor.

There wasn’t a new episode this week but expect some big time guests from JK in the coming weeks! In the meantime, make sure to listen to the past shows.
Tyler didn’t connect on the day but the content here applies throughout the meet and beyond. As we always say, bet construction is vitally important and this wager requires a specific approach to create value.
Tons of great content including a special 20th Anniversary column by Sean Clancy and one of the degenerates referenced on Page 28 is ITM’s PTF.
Marylou Whitney, a Saratoga Icon - America’s Best Racing
Dan Gonella has taken an objective approach to analyzing a question that many have wondered about - How are the Servis horses performing in new barns?
