Players' Newsletter - February 11th, 2022
What an honor it was to be a part of the Eclipse Awards last night at Santa Anita. Susan made the journey out west with me making it all the more special, and it was great having Naomi in attendance as well. As with all things related to my work, I consider myself a horseplayer first, and I know that I won’t get opportunities like the one last night without the continued support of you — our audience. Thanks to everyone for reading and watching and listening. And if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to get to work on winning another tiny statue :)
MYWAYP,
PTF

Off Track with Maggie Wolfendale - Say No More & Kelsey Riley
As the saying goes, home is where the heart is. But for Kelsey Riley, International Editor for the Thoroughbred Daily News, home is where “Morris” is. Kelsey’s passion for Thoroughbreds and racing was cultivated at Sovereign Award winning owner and breeder Gus Schickedanz Schonberg Farm, where the first foal that she ever helped bring into the world and later break, was the horse who would go on to be known at the track as Say No More. But that was only the first chapter of their story.
