As we head into another major weekend of great racing around the world, I want to take a second to highlight the long awaited running of one of Canada’s premiere races on the calendar. This sunday begins the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown, The Queen’s Plate. With fans in the stands and an extremely competitive field of 13 lining up, Sunday marks a special day in the racing industry north of the border.
The rain has come down throughout the week in upstate New York, however the crowds will still be in full force on Saturday for a fantastic rendition of the Alabama. On the opposite side of the US, it looks to be nothing more than sunny skies and a beautiful ocean breeze “Where the Surf Meets the Turf” for Pacific Classic Day.
