It’s been a tough week, but one where the harness racing community came together to honor Hunter Myers. I wanted to share some of the fundraisers here that are going on right now to support his family.
The Meadows Tribute Wednesday was very thoughtful and hopefully the start of the healing for that community. I thought this Green Pylon was a nice touch.

Saturday is a great idea - the Meadowlands have a memorial race with the revenue being donated to Hunter’s family. Meadowlands owner Jeff Gural will match the donation, making this an amazing opportunity for everyone to honor Hunter by playing in the race.

Yonkers is back in the mix with the Borgata starting this Monday. Ray and I returned to the Harness Players Podcast this week to discuss the five divisions with 38 entries looking to kick off the series. $1 Pick 5 starting in Race 5 on Monday is a great opportunity as many horses are coming in looking to get the season started. Charlie May is here this year with a huge mile at Pocono in tow. He can be a major player in this series with the Desperate Man’s and Hellabalou’s of the world. Admiral Hill looks best to me in the last leg and could serve as an anchor in this opening Borgata Pick 5. Fraser is also prominent on the pod with another competitive Late Pick 4 and no Mohawk on Friday night to compete with. Handle was 342K on Thursday!

Harness Players Podcast March 26 Fraser/Borgata Series Leg 1
Mikee P and Ray Cotolo bring another edition of the Harness Players Podcast for March 26. Fraser Downs is back for Friday, March 28, with a late Pick 4 with a solid lineup. The Borgata Series kicks off Monday, March 31st, with 5 divisions of Leg 1 of the upper-level pacing series at Yonkers Raceway.
